Form of workBrightStar Care of Morris & Essex County is seeking a compassionate and skilled Infant Pediatric Nurse (RN or LPN) to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in working with infants and possess strong clinical skills, as well as a passion for providing top-quality healthcare.
Responsibilities:
- Provide compassionate and competent nursing care to infants and their families in accordance with the established plan of care and nursing standards
- Perform comprehensive assessments and develop individualized care plans for each patient
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the physician
- Monitor and report changes in patients' conditions to the physician and interdisciplinary team
- Educate and support parents on infant care and development, including breastfeeding, proper nutrition, and milestones
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care and promote optimal outcomes for patients
- Adhere to all healthcare and infection control standards, policies, and procedures
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of all patient care and progress.
Requirements:
- Active RN or LPN license in the state of New Jersey
- Minimum of one year of experience in pediatric nursing, preferably with infants
- Excellent clinical skills and knowledge of pediatric and infant care
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and critical thinking skills
- Ability to work independently and as a part of a team
- Updated physical, negative TB skin test or chest x-ray
- CPR certification (Pediatric Advanced Life Support is preferred)
- Physical ability to perform job-related tasks, which may include lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
