INDUSTRY ENGAGEMENT MANAGER, Center for Transportation & Logistics (CTL), to build strong connections with senior leadership in the industry to ensure that the program addresses industry research needs; designs relevant capstone projects; builds links between academic development and real-world content; applies industry best practices in operations, logistics, and supply chains; and connects with students as they transition to alumni and become strong collaborators of CTL. Will recruit and retain industry partners for capstone projects and build collaborative relationships with stakeholders of the
MIT SCM (Supply Chain Management) program, including partner companies, professional associations, faculty, staff, alumni, and students.
CTL conducts research, outreach, and educational activities with a number of different companies, organizations, and governments. The Supply Chain Management program (SCM) is its degree-granting educational program.
Job Requirements
REQUIRED: bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, logistics, or related field; five years of experience in industry, business development, supply chain, or related area; industry leadership experience in operations and experience dealing with critical issues facing today’s global economy; experience conducting applied research/innovation focused on students, entrepreneurs, and others at the industry-academia interface; excellent organizational, communication, and collaboration skills; ability to conduct, write, and communicate technical reports; self-motivation; strategic approach to responsibilities; excellent organizational skills; ability to manage multiple priorities, deliver high-quality results, and meet deadlines; experience planning and executing complex events and meetings and effectively engaging with industry and other stakeholders; and ability to convince, lead, and influence senior executives, MIT faculty, researchers, and those in other MIT support functions.
