Overview

Nakupuna Companies is looking to hire an Industrial Security Specialist. The Industrial Security Specialist will be responsible for assisting the Nakupuna Companies Security team with the daily administration of the Industrial Security Program for all Nakupuna Companies. As the Industrial Security Specialist, you will be responsible for supporting the Facility Security Officer, security team and multiple companies under the umbrella of the Nakupuna Companies. This position has the option for some telework after grace periods have been met.

Responsibilities

The following reflects management's definition of essential functions for this job but does not restrict the tasks that may be assigned. Management may assign additional duties and responsibilities to this job at any time due to reasonable accommodation or other reasons:

  • Monitor and categorize daily security email and helpdesk requests.
  • Perform security clearance verifications.
  • Assist with security actions for onboardings, separations and transfers to include, generating badge and access paperwork for all respective contracts.
  • Prepare visit authorization requests (VARs) to include termination VARs via the Security Information Management Systems (SIMS), the Defense Information Security System (DISS) and the National Background Investigation Services (NBIS).
  • Assist with maintenance of personnel security clearance access levels in appropriate system of record.
  • Assist with reviewing SF-86 background investigation documents to validate completeness and accuracy.
  • Assist with routine audits of personnel security files and systems.
  • Assist with routine audits of security policy documents.
  • Provide self-inspection support.
  • Establish and maintain working relationships with clients and employees.
  • Assist with foreign travel reporting and briefings.
  • Assist with Fieldprint fingerprint uploads into SWFT.
  • Potential client facing duties.
Qualifications

Skills/Qualifications: Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications with emphasis in Word, Excel, Outlook, and on-line search engines required. Demonstrated knowledge and competence in 32 CFR part 117 NISPOM and SEAD 3 security requirements. Experience with the following DCSA systems to include but not limited to: DISS, NBIS, NISS, SWFT, NCAISS, eApp etc.

Education and Experience:

  • This position requires a high school diploma.
  • Must possess DCSA FSO Program Management Certificate for Possessing Facilities and have at least three years of experience leading or supporting FSO duties.
  • Must be well versed in the 32 CFR part 117 NISPOM, SEAD 3 and familiar with DOD security regulatory manuals.
  • Familiarity with utilizing ThreatSwitch or SignIn compliance software a plus. Client facing support a plus.

Clearance Requirements: This position requires an active Secret security clearance with the ability to obtain a Top Secret security clearance. Must be a US Citizen
