As the Industrial Sales Assistant, you will:
- Provide administrative, sales, and customer service support to the Electric Switchboard and Solutions division
- Support the sales, production, and engineering departments through data entry and vendor/customer communication
- Manage customer accounts ensuring accuracy
- Upload service tickets and job cards to job tracking sheet
- Print shop drawings and deliver to appropriate shop personnel
- Review job and parts order status
- Enter Bill of Materials for jobs
- File service tickets, invoices, and packing slips
- Communicate with customers via e-mail and phone
- Conduct research on customer and vendor histories
- Manage Excel based job tracking sheet
- Other office administrative duties upon request
What we are looking for in an Engineering Office Assistant:
- 1+ years of general office work in an industrial setting preferred (e.g. HVAC, Plumbing, or Electrical company)
- Ability to prioritize work and handle multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast paced, diverse and growth-oriented environment
- Ability to work under tight deadlines
- Strong mathematical and analytical skills
- Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly in written and verbal formats
- Proven proficiency in general personal computer applications, as well as in the use of Microsoft Office software, including Word and Excel
- Ability to work well both in a team environment and independently
- Willingness and eagerness to gain product and service knowledge
- Previous production/manufacturing experience preferred
- Knowledge of pumps and motors or a mechanical background is preferred
- Previous experience with proprietary software applications (Epicor Eclipse) is a plus
- Clean and valid NYS Driver's License to operate company vehicles as needed
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to sit for prolonged periods of time
- Ability to utilize a computer keyboard, computer monitor, adding machine, and telephone for prolonged periods of time
- Ability to climb stairs daily
- You will be in a production/manufacturing environment daily
