Job description

Industrial Nurse care and treatment to patients suffering from job related illnesses and injuries. Takes care of employees whenever they suffer from any job-related sickness or injury. Oversee OSHA related compliance activities; work as a medical liaison between management, doctors, and hourly workers; analyze and monitor medical related costs and safety trend costs; and report recommendation to leadership team; administer in-house medical and safety services (i.e. purchasing of personal protective equipment, hearing conversation program, accident reporting and accident investigations. Provide leadership role in surveillance of potential healthcare hazards and/or issues that could affect associates’ health. Provide drug screen and medical screenings.


Key Responsibilities:
• Trend and care for people injured or fallen sick at the workplace.
• Provide emergency care to employees.
• Mention any noticeable abnormalities to the management and higher authorities.
• Perform all the duties include checking vital signs regularly, be alert to any complaint of discomfort by the patient, attend immediately and seek doctor’s advice if needed.
• Alert the doctor in case the patient develops complications or new illnesses.
• Document and record all workplace injury.
• Provide drug screens to new hires, post accidents and suspicions.
• Perform medical screenings to new hires.
• Educate employees about possible workplace injuries.
• Maintain Worker’s Comp files and document lost time hours.
• Other duties assigned.


Job Requirements:
• Education: Two-year college Degree in Nursing, CPR certified. Clear the National Council Licensure Examination (NCLEX) to work as a License Practical Nurse.
• Skills: Observation and assessment of both the worker and the work environment
• Should be comfortable working with patients with various health conditions and temperaments.
• Computer Skills to store patient history and data.
• Provide care throughout the time span of the shift.
• Documentation of the injury of illness.
• Monitor the work environment for potential exposures
• Travel: None

• Work environment: The noise level in the work environment is usually minimal to moderate. Maybe exposed to possible industrial hazards including high noises and heavy machinery. Transport employee to outside medical serves when needed.
