Job Description
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assemble, Install, maintain, and repair mechanical related equipment and fixtures in accordance with code compliance using hand and power tools.
- Moving machinery and equipment using hoist, lift trucks, etc.
- Diagnose and repair malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components using test equipment.
- Inspect systems to identify hazards, defects for adjustment and repair.
- Troubleshoot for proper mechanical operation of equipment and ensure safety systems, guarding, handrails, etc. are in place and functional
- Communicate across various levels of the organization to achieve departmental goals.
- Collaborate with manufacturing team to ensure production conformity.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications, Skills, and Abilities:
- Knowledge of machines and tools, including their design, uses and repair/maintenance.
- Knowledge of materials, methods and tools involved to make equipment repairs including the ability to use either control mechanisms or direct physical activity to operate machines or processes.
- Visualization of how something may look after it is moved or when its parts are moved o
- Ability to read blue prints and schematic drawings to determine work procedures
- The ability to arrange things or actions in a certain order or pattern according to a specific rule or set of rules (i.e. patterns of numbers, letters, words pictures or mathematical operations).
- High school diploma or GED.
- Journeymen Certificate or equivalent. OSHA ARC Flash Training.
- Heavy manufacturing electrical experience preferred.
