TITLE OF POSITION:        Industrial Maintenance Technician III

REPORTS TO:                     Safety & Facilities Manager

DEPARTMENT:                   Maintenance

DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES

1) GENERAL PURPOSE

 Maintain and repair all building systems and facility. Provide mechanical/electrical trouble-shooting and repair, including installation of power, lighting, control circuits and conduit, plumbing, welding and fabrication. Also provide mechanical, electrical and engineering support to other departments; repair and maintain machinery and equipment.

2) ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS                  

1. Perform repairs and preventive maintenance on production equipment
2. Installation and relocation of equipment and machinery as needed
3. Mechanical repairs such as gear boxes, chains, sprockets, etc
4. Maintain and repair all building systems including HVAC and plumbing
5. Provide skilled mechanical, electrical and engineering support for all depts
6. Ability to read electrical schematics to troubleshoot a wide range of machinery and equipment
7. Perform office moves
8. Maintain vehicles and forklifts                                          
9. Perform various grounds related duties as needed, including snow removal
10. Bend EMT conduit and pull wire
11. Sweat copper pipes
12. Work with VFD's and PLC's
13. Fabrication using Metal brake, Metal shear, Metal lathe and Milling machine
14. Perform housekeeping duties in the work area
15. Work overtime, nights and weekends as required
16. In rotation of on-call 24 hour support, as needed
17. Project management
18. Taining

5) KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES NEEDED

MIG Welding knowledge and skills

Mechanical and technical knowledge and skills

HVAC knowledge and skills

Ability to work well independently and with others

Strong problem solving skills including troubleshooting and root cause analysis

Ability to follow instructions and adhere to safety measures

Working knowledge of electronics and plc controlled processes

6) EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE NECESSARY

Some vocational or technical degree or training preferred; or equivalent experience, required

Experience in a manufacturing environment; preferably

3+ years experience in mechanical/industrial setting.

Proficient in the installation of power, lighting, control circuits and conduit; preferably

Musthave experience with plumbing, welding and fabrication

Eectrical trade technician - grade 3; desirable - to be profienct in repair of electrical systems including low voltage DC, single phase AC and three phse AC up to 480 volt

8) WORK ENVIRONMENT/PHYSICAL SKILLS NEEDED

Indoor manufacturing environment.

Outdoors, including in inclement weather

Ability to work in different positions for extended periods of time

Ability to physically move about in facilities and environments.

Ability to sit at desk and work at keyboard and computer.

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Works with high noise levels

Visual requirements include hand/eye coordination and visual acuity in near/mid ranges.

Manual dexterity, using both hands and fingers in handling and grasping, reaching with arms/hands

Must be able to perform the essential functions of the position, with or without reasonable accommodations.

Qualified applicant completes internal application located in adjacent drop file, and obtains Supervisor signature prior to delivery to HR within 3 days.

Annual Pay Range: Min $75,000.00 - Max $85,000.00
