Provide effective leadership through direct supervision and scheduling of all Beverage maintenance activity across a multi-shift operation including maintaining and improving current process and support equipment, package changeovers, installation of new equipment.
- Follows and enforces company work and safety policies and instructions
- Encourage a proactive and positive team oriented work environment, with the objective of developing an enthusiastic and successful maintenance team.
- Work with production personnel to ensure that production goals are met
- Schedule and direct all maintenance activities related to Beverage lines and associated support equipment.
- Oversee maintenance system which includes preventative maintenance and spare parts as required
- Be, and provide, resources for training both production and maintenance personnel
- Follow established and implement new Maintenance practices in regards to SAP, Preventative Maintenance Paperwork, parts usage and ordering – in coordination with the Parts Control Manager.
- Schedule Maintenance Technicians to ensure appropriate shift coverage
- Prioritize all maintenance activities to ensure line reliability targets are met
- Identify and provide for training of Maintenance Technicians on all facets of Industrial Maintenance
- Provide cost justifications and plans for equipment improvements and / or replacements, as it relates to process and reliability initiatives.
- Continuous improvement in speed and accuracy of product changeovers and preventative maintenance plans
- Oversee the repair and maintenance of mechanical equipment such as fillers, case packers, conveyor systems, palletizers, water purification/filtration systems and other production equipment
- Provide support for the installation of production and auxiliary equipment
- Work closely and partner with OEMs and outside contractors during day-to-day activities and projects
- Scheduled preventative maintenance work in alignment with production management schedules
- Has responsibility to initiate action on any food safety and/or quality issues
- Protect company assets
- Other duties as required
