Industrial Maintenance Intern

Weyerhaeuser's lumber manufacturing facility in Philadelphia, MS is seeking an Millwright/Mechanical Maintenance Intern to work with our maintenance team. Our facility is a state-of-the-art random length sawmill and utilizes advanced technology in manufacturing our products. This is a great opportunity for a student to earn additional income ($17.10/hour) and gain experience in a high-tech industrial environment.
Qualifications

• Must be at least age 18
• Must have successfully completed at least 2 semesters of the Industrial Maintenance Technician, Automation & Controls Technology, Precision Manufacturing & Machining Technology, or other related programs.
• Must have at least a 2.5 grade point average
• Able to work safely and follow all company safety policies and procedures
• Willing to work weekends and evenings as required
• Able to work in extreme temperatures, in dusty and noisy conditions, while wearing safety equipment
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with others
• High level of initiative and motivation
• Excellent planning and organizational skills
• Must have basic computer skills
• Successful completion of assessment process, background check and post-offer pre-employment drug screen and physical
• Eligible to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
• Resume detailing your education and work history required
• Students at East Central Community College OR Meridian Community College or East Mississippi Community College are preferred
