Responsible for installing, adjusting, wiring, and repairing equipment in compliance with the current NEC and local code requirements. All work must meet or exceed the current NEC standards.
- Troubleshoot AC/DC motor controls, terminating motors and devices (sensors, controls, VFD’s, etc.)
- Working knowledge/understanding of mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, distribution control, fluidic, and electrical systems/components and operation
- Perform necessary maintenance tasks including repair or replacement of damaged parts: assemble, install, adjustments, and evaluate
- Execute preventative maintenance tasks on various forms of manufacturing equipment
. Maintain detailed records of work performed, details of repairs, and material usage via CMMS
- Perform equipment overhauling, including rebuilding and fabrication as needed
Preferred Skills:
- Troubleshooting and repairing electrical and mechanical systems.
- Read and interpret mechanical, electrical, hydraulic blueprints, schematics, and engineering documents.
- Manual dexterity, frequently squat, bend, climb and ability to lift 50 lbs.
Education and Preferred Qualifications:
- Mechanical and fabrication/welding experience is a plus
- Dependable initiative-taker
- Experience in a food plant, with knowledge of GMP’s and SQF requirements is a plus
- High speed packaging equipment experience a plus
