About You
The person we are looking for has a high attention to detail and enjoys working closely with production employees on the manufacturing floor. In this role, you will have an opportunity to increase your knowledge of many aspects of the business and make recommendations based on information and data you gather. You will work on a variety of projects that improve our business in the areas of operations, sales, accounting, and systems.
Position Snapshot
A Mechanical Engineer is commonly expected to identify, develop, justify, implement, and follow-up on projects designed to improve safety, quality, productivity, and reduce the overall operating cost for all facilities. You will gather and analyze manufacturing data to evaluate and improve current manufacturing processes. To be successful in this role you will:
- Ensure all standard work procedures, documents and visuals are up to date at each facility.
- Interpret, develop, plan, assign, check and direct work methods. While addressing work method complaints and resolving problems.
- Establish standards for machine performance and quality.
- Provide ideas to Engineering Group involving mechanical machine improvements.
- Assist in the management of capital improvement projects, focusing on accuracy and delivery of projected payback.
- Investigate, test, and implement new technology into plant operations.
- Use Activity Based Costing (ABC), financial, and P & L data to target improvement opportunities.
- Find ways to lower setup and process related costs of operation methods.
- Pursuing Degree in Engineering
- Broad knowledge of a general technical field such as Industrial or Process Engineering.
