neuro42 is a Bay Area startup developing point-of-care MRI and robotics for diagnosis and interventions of neurological conditions. Our vision at neuro42 is to arm neurophysicians with the finest in visualization and guidance technologies to provide best-in-class treatment solutions for their patients.
Join our team as the Industrial Engineering Intern.
Main Responsibilities:
- Work on projects related to continuous improvement activities in hardening and/or transferring an FDA approved novel portable MRI instrument from R&D to manufacturing.
- Learn and use a variety of process optimization tools such as 5S and waste analysis to analyze and optimize product transfer and manufacturing layout.
- Participate in projects and/or activities involving value analysis, design reviews, product transfer, and new product introduction.
- Communicating and collaborating with multiple teams and stakeholders to provide updates and provide task deliverables.
- Presenting a project you have been involved with and lessons learned to the organization.
Qualifications / Eligibility Requirements:
- University Enrollment: Must be currently enrolled in and returning to a degree-seeking academic program.
- Internship Work Period: Must be available to work full-time (approximately 40 hours per week) during a 10–12-week period starting May or June.
Skills, Experience, Education, & Training:
- Currently enrolled in an Undergraduate / Master's program in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or Biomedical Engineering.
- Prior use of CAD to design mechanisms in SolidWorks is preferred.
- Strong communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team.
