- Maintain all electrical plant and production operations to ensure continuous production with minimum down time
- LOTO and ARC Flash knowledge and adherence
- Install additional building and production equipment
- Ability to size circuits and install conduit
- Modify machine controls and operations
- Repair heating and air conditioning equipment
- Troubleshooting and repair of production machines, reading electrical and electronic schematics
- Isolating problems to specific components
- Reading PLC programs and operation manuals for equipment
- Programming digital AC and DC frequency drives
- Calibrating sensors, overload protection devices, and mechanical adjustments for electrical devices
- Fast paced production environment.
- Work within TPM environment
- Operation of various lifts
- May perform mechanical repairs as requested
- Works with limited or no supervision
- Other tasks as required
- Minimum of five years’ experience as an Industrial Electrician focused on the repair and troubleshooting of manufacturing equipment or three years’ experience and two years technical training in electronics/electrical.
- Formal electrical education/training
- Formal education/training in mechanical fundamentals.
- Knowledge and/or experience with computerized equipment
- Experience with CMMS systems, preferably Emaint.
- Prior industrial electrical experience in manufacturing setting
- Must be fluent in the use of personal computers and possess strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience in trouble shooting complex systems and microprocessor theory, AC/DC circuits, digital controls, PLC’s, electrical and mechanical schematics and have a mechanical aptitude.
- Work independently in a team environment devising new methods and meeting new conditions within an electronic WO system.
- Perform unusual and difficult work where standard methods may not be available.
- Judgment to make difficult decisions on involved and complex jobs.
- Responsible for the proper performance of assignments and the prudent handling of product, tools and equipment
- May perform mechanical repairs and projects as requested.
- Must meet physical requirements for position.
