Job Description
- Five (5) years of experience in diagnosing and repairing electrical equipment or machinery, or comparable experience with trade school or training
- High School diploma or equivalent required
- Ability to read/write wiring diagrams, schematics and blueprints and analytical diagnosis of problems
- Ability to program Programmable Logic Controllers using basic and ladder logic
- Thorough understanding of National Electrical Code (NEC)
- Advanced knowledge of electrical, pneumatics, hydraulics, and temperature and pressure gauges
- Advanced knowledge of industrial controls and instrumentation
- Advanced mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot problems including knowledge of machines and tools, their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance
- Math skills to include addition, subtraction, multiplication and division, and algebra
- Familiar with and ability to convert decimals to fractions or vice versa
- Familiar with and ability to convert units (imperial to SI, etc.)
- Must have an understanding of microprocessor hardware and software configurations and be able to perform basic analog and digital circuit design
- Know how to use Multi-meter, scope, basic hand tools, and portable power tools
- Ability to obtain and maintain powered industrial truck (PIT) license
- Demonstration of minimum proficiency with the English language in order to ensure effective new hire training and on-going communications about safety and quality issues·
