Summary

Pratt & Whitney’s Columbus Engine Center has an open position for an Indirect Procurement Manager (P4).  The primary focus of this position will be to lead the aftermarket indirect sourcing function within the Columbus Engine Center business unit.  This position will be responsible to manage and oversee supplier management, Indirect Procurement activity, and trade compliance (ITC) adherence.

Responsibilities include centralizing Indirect Procurement with supplier agreements, drive savings, improve leverage with supplier designation, and ensure supplier performance is being met for the business unit and the organizations goals.

The successful candidate will need to demonstrate they can manage multiple strategic projects and tactical support for the business unit.  The focus of this position will be to deliver value with the operation, cost, quality, and delivery metrics in an aftermarket environment.  In this role, the candidate will interface with internal customers, suppliers, operations, regulatory, and senior management.   Also, driving standard work will be key to optimize the improvement of operations and leading change in the overall process.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Achieve highest levels of quality and internal customer service levels to drive customer satisfaction through delivery on tactical and strategic commitments.

  • Ensure operational controls are in place for compliance to all procurement processes and customer requirements.

  • Maintain high levels of communication with the team regarding the status of the business, project, and key plans and/or initiatives to achieve goals with a timely and cost-effective strategy

  • Operate in the role of primary sponsor/change agent for implementation of lean methodologies to ensure compliance with all Export, CORE, Ethics, and corporate policies & initiatives.

  • Ability to work both independently with tactical site requirements and as a leader to facilitate indirect strategic initiatives to support CEC.

Basic Qualifications:
  • Advanced degree and 5+ years of experience in Manufacturing, Military, Supply Chain, Aerospace, or Aviation industry; OR Bachelor’s degree and 8+ years of relevant industry experience; OR an Associate’s degree and 10+ years of relevant industry experience; OR an Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) certificate and 10+ years of relevant industry experience; OR High School Diploma and 12+ years of relevant experience.

  • U.S. citizenship is required for this position; only U.S. citizens are authorized to access and handle sensitive data required to support our government and military programs.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • STEM fields or Supply Chain Management.

  • Experience using Microsoft Office, and SAP Purchase Order Management.

  • Experience in Indirect Procurement, Supply Chain, or Supplier Management.

  • Knowledge of international trade compliance regulations related to material logistics.

  • Aerospace or Aftermarket Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO) industry experience.

  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills (both vendor- and customer-facing).

  • Ability to work across and communicate with all levels of the organization.
