Indirect Procurement Intern
SUMMARY
As an Indirect Procurement Intern, you will work with the Indirect Procurement team to deliver initial cost reductions and year-over-year improvements in Total Cost of Ownership while maintaining or improving quality. This position will be part of the analysis, sourcing, and decision-making process in categories ranging from packaging consumable products to MRO to waste management. The ideal candidate will work with our internal stakeholders to determine project requirements, methodically summarize requirements, assist with sourcing of supply alternatives, and be comfortable communicating with vendors and stakeholders and presenting options to a team.
Location: Omaha, NE - must be located in Omaha, NE or willing to relocate
Reports to: Director of Indirect Procurement
PROJECTS TO BE COMPLETED:
- Secondary Packaging Sourcing such as thermal transfer labels, strapping materials, and air bags.
- OEM replacement part substitutions.
- Energy savings projects such as:
- LED lighting expansion
- Energy demand reduction
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION, AND CERTIFICATIONS
An individual qualified for this job must have and maintain the following qualifications:
- Currently pursuing a degree in business administration, finance, or supply chain management
SUMMER 2024 INTERNSHIP PROGRAM OVERVIEW
- Summer internships will begin mid-May and end mid-August (flexible)
- Intern schedule is full-time, Monday through Friday (hours are flexible based on availability)
- Hourly wage ranges from $18 to $23
