As an Independent Validation and Verification (IV&V) Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of software systems and applications. You will be responsible for designing and executing test plans, conducting thorough Validation and Verification activities, and providing valuable insights to stakeholders regarding the overall quality of the software product.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- Proven experience working in software testing, validation, and Verification roles.
- Strong understanding of software development methodologies and processes.
- Proficiency in creating and executing test cases, test scripts, and test plans.
- Experience with automated testing tools and frameworks.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality assurance best practices.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement comprehensive test plans and strategies for software systems and applications.
- Design, create, and execute manual and automated test cases to verify software functionality, performance, and reliability.
- Identify, document, and track software defects and issues throughout the testing process.
- Collaborate with software developers, project managers, and other stakeholders to resolve issues and ensure timely delivery of high-quality software products.
- Conduct regression testing and performance testing to validate software changes and improvements.
- Analyze test results and provide feedback to stakeholders regarding the overall quality of the software product.
- Continuously improve testing processes and methodologies to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Stay updated on industry best practices, tools, and technologies related to software testing and quality assurance.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- 3+ years of experience in software testing, validation, and Verification roles.
- Strong knowledge of software testing methodologies, tools, and techniques.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, or C++.
- Experience with test management tools such as Jira, HP ALM, or TestRail.
- Familiarity with Agile and DevOps principles and practices.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively to meet deadlines.
- Certification in software testing (e.g., ISTQB) is a plus.
- Experience in industries such as aerospace, automotive, or medical devices is preferred but not required.
