INDEPENDENT SALES REPRESENTATIVE - WEST COAST REGION

A leading Student Housing Furniture Manufacturer looking for a motivated, talented and effective outside Sales Representee to contribute and support the growth of the company in the West Coast region.

Job – Independent Sales Representative – Furniture for On and Off Campus Student Housing and Hospitality Furniture sales

Responsibilities:

• Identify new opportunities and engage with company to establish develop new customer relationships
• Create and quote new clients, few existing customers found in the region. Some leads provided; cold calling and market re-search required identifying opportunities.
• Develop and deliver sales pitch to these new potential clients (designers, architectural firms, and developers)
• Network with architects/interior designers to generate new leads, some travel required to best facilitate meetings and the sales opportunities in the region
• Organize and arrange business meetings with prospective clients to maximize sales opportunities. Helpful to have some knowledge of the region
• Explore all opportunities to submit RFP in Student and Hospitality furniture business
• Provide sales feedback and after-sales support for the relationships established
• Build, grow, and establish relationships with these new customers in the West Coast region

Requirements:

• Proven working experience in business development, and furniture sales
• Market knowledge of furniture industry. 5 - 7 years in furniture sales required
• Excellent communication skills, verbal and written.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Interpersonal skills
• Ability to travel, attend and participate conventions
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office and Oracle Net Suite (helpful)
• BS/BA in business administration

This is an important role in a solid renowned furniture company with over 17 years in the Student Housing business.

Job Type: Outside Independent Representative

Pay: Based on existing rolodex and customers and Draw vs. Commission
