Independent Representative, North-West
Insulation

For our US operations, located in Elizabethtown KY, we are looking for a motivated Independent Representative Agency to support the high growth ambitions, reporting directly to our Regional Sales Manager. You will be joining a dedicated national sales team of seasoned professionals.

Main Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Your primary role is to drive sales by promoting products to potential clients in the Insulation segment in the North-West region. This includes identifying and reaching out to potential new customers, presenting products, negotiating contracts, and closing sales.
  • Maintaining and strengthening relationships with existing clients is crucial. This involves regular communication, understanding their needs, providing solutions, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Understanding the current market trends, customer needs, and competitor activities in the Insulation segment to effectively position our products.
  • Staying well-informed about the products the Soudal Group represents. This might involve attending training sessions provided by Soudal USA and being able to educate clients about our sealants, adhesives, PU foams & technical aerosols.
  • Providing feedback to Soudal USA on market trends, customer needs, and product performance. This often involves regular reporting on sales activities, potential opportunities, and challenges faced in the field.
  • Collaborating with the regional sales manager to develop strategies for promoting products in the Insulation segment. This could include participating in trade shows, conducting product demonstrations, or digital marketing initiatives.
  • Offering technical advice and support to clients regarding the products, which may include troubleshooting or assisting with implementation.
  • Effectively managing the North-West geographic territory, which includes planning and optimizing travel and client visits to maximize coverage and sales opportunities.
  • Ensuring all business activities comply with relevant laws and regulations. Also maintaining ethical standards in all dealings.
  • Building and maintaining a network of industry contacts, including contractors, builders, architects, and other Insulation professionals, to enhance business opportunities.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Sales expertise, which involves understanding the sales process, from lead generation to closing deals. It includes skills in prospecting, presenting products effectively, handling objections, and negotiating terms. Sales expertise also involves setting and meeting sales targets, understanding customer needs, and offering tailored solutions.
  • Representatives need a good understanding of the products that Soudal USA offers in the Insulation segment; especially where technical specifications can be crucial. This includes knowledge about materials, application methods, compliance standards and how the product fits into the broader construction process.
  • Effective communication is key in presenting Soudal’s products, negotiating contracts, and maintaining client relationships. This includes both verbal and written skills, as well as the ability to listen actively and understand customer needs and concerns.
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients and industry contacts is essential. This involves being approachable, emphatic, and able to connect with people from various backgrounds. Good interpersonal skills also help in networking and building a strong client base.
  • As Independent Representatives, individuals must be self-motivated and able to work autonomously. This includes managing one’s schedule, setting priorities, and being disciplined in achieving goals without direct supervision.
  • Balancing various tasks like client meetings, administrative work, and travel requires excellent time-management skills. This involves planning and organizing one’s workday efficiently to maximize productivity.
