Position Responsibilities:
An Independent Living Coach (ILC) provides one-to-one services and supports to individuals with disabilities served by The League for People with Disabilities in day programs.
Job duties include:
Provide individualized assistance and coaching with communication skills
Assist with meal preparation
Create and assist with leisure activities
Transport to volunteer activities.
Help with other daily activities as necessary to assist individuals in gaining independence and achieving personal outcomes.

Requirements:
  • Must enjoy working with people and have a positive attitude
  • Must have a High School Diploma or State Accredited GED
  • Must have a Valid Maryland Driver’s License
  • Must be willing to undergo a criminal Background check and drug screen
  • Must successfully pass a basic skill reading test
