SalaryHey Charlotte! Dream Bird Transportation is looking for independent contractor teams in the Charlotte, NC area to service a Furniture Delivery contract. You will be working alongside a helper of your choosing to provide excellent customer service and delivery to our customers.
Start Time: 6amTuesday-Saturday
Stops: 8-13/day (depends on volume)
Location: Charlotte, NC
Job Responsibilities:
- Licensed and able to drive 26’ delivery truck & use basic GPS navigation
- Properly load and protect all product for delivery
- Follow prescribed safety procedures at all times to protect associates, customers, merchandise, and property
- Handle paperwork accurately
- Ensure customer satisfaction by maintaining delivery schedule and a professional attitude
- Delivery and assemble furniture items
All drivers MUST:
- Have a valid driver’s license
- Have/obtain a DOT Medical Card
- Have/obtain a F-endorsement on license
- Be able to pass a drug test, background check, and MVR check
- Be able to provide your own tools (A list of necessary tools will be provided. All other needed items will be supplied.)
All helpers MUST:
- Have photo identification
- Be 18 years or older
- Be able to pass background check
This position is for 2 man teams only! The team will be paid the entirety of the contract minus a 10% fee for using our business name. It is up to the driver, who will be the main contractor, to pay his/her helper, gas, truck rental, and any other deductions. No taxes will be taken as this is a contractor, 1099, position. Insurance is provided at a weekly rate by contracting company.
