Incoming Mail Associate

Job Title: Mailroom Associate

Job Summary:

Position requires a moderate degree of interaction with other state employees at various organizational levels. Employees must be able to physically move in a production environment in carrying out daily work assignments as well as drive a motor vehicle to deliver mail.

Job Duties:

• Sorting mail by reading the address and sorting it according to building, department, and division.
• Work independently of direct supervision.
• Prioritizing tasks to meet deadlines.
• Operating a motor vehicle to deliver mail to state office buildings.
• Loading mail into vehicle for delivery.
• interacting with customers in a professional manner; walking, standing, sitting, bending, stretching, and carrying items.

Job Requirements:

• Must effectively communicating orally, in writing and by telephone.
•  Following instructions
• High School Diploma or equivalent 
• Must have valid driver's license and a clean driving record
