Job Overview

The Income Auditor will perform complex clerical, bookkeeping, accounting assignments.

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Main responsibility will be general accounting duties in areas of need within the Accounting Department.
  • Efficiently balance all hotel transactions for the day, ensuring accuracy in financial records.
  • Complete the General Cashier process daily, including the accurate balancing and submission of bank deposits.
  • Audit house banks as required per Proper SOP’s.
  • Daily cash over short reconciliation, reporting, and follow up.
  • Petty cash management and cash journal entries posting.
  • Generates summary sheets to be used by supervisor or accounting team.
  • Proofs accounting reports for clerical accuracy
  • Facilitates internal hotel charge back process
  • Manages Tier-1 calls from guest services for folio and receipt inquiries from hotel operation services
  • Performs other related duties as assigned

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to communicate clearly, concisely, and openly in all interactions.
  • Must be self-directed, motivated and demonstrate exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software
  • Knowledge of spreadsheets and accounting software
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Demonstrated ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced work environment with tight deadlines.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with maximum accuracy and efficiency.
  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.

Education and Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; College degree preferred
  • 1 – 3 years of related experience; hospitality experience is preferred
