Jonesboro, AR – Contract Assignment
· Pay = $29 Hourly
· Schedule:
· Monday – Friday 10 hour shifts (Voluntary OT on Saturdays)
· All roles require background check and drug screen
· Must be authorized to work in the US

The Write-Up Inspector is responsible for conducting in-coming, in-process and outbound inspections of railcars. This individual determines materials required for repairs and estimates repair costs based on AAR regulations and customer specifications. Act as a liaison between customers and maintenance/repair facility. Prepare documentation necessary to support AAR regulations and customer invoicing.
What You'll Do:
- Develop proposals and quotes for part orders, repairs and specialty items
- Refer to bills of materials, damage assessments, blueprints, previous estimates, contracts, assembly drawings or hand drawn sketches to determine the basis for estimates
- Coordinate and closely communicates with manufacturing, purchasing, engineering, sales and customer service representatives
- May work directly with customers regarding repairs at plant sites
- Completes a variety of atypical assignments
- Works within defined processes and procedures or methodologies and may help determine the appropriate approach for new assignments
- Works with a limited degree of supervision
What you'll need:
- High school diploma or equivalent with 2-4 years of related experience
- 2-4 of experience inspecting railcars
- Knowledge of the AAR rules and regulations
- Experience using Microsoft 365
- Experience with industrial billing
