Brands include the iconic FAO Schwarz, Sharper Image, Vornado and Discovery Kids. MerchSource is very excited to announce the recent opening of our Distribution Center in Bloomingdale, GA. We are looking for an Outbound Office Clerk to join our team.


This position may perform most all the activities and functions throughout the warehouse from Inbound to Outbound and any other support position. Depending on training and placement, an associate can be a Receiver, Auditor (Inbound), Cubi-Scan Operator, Picker/Loader, Auditor (Outbound), and Ecommerce Picker/Packer (Outbound). The associate picks, packs, and ships product to internal and external customers in an accurate and timely manner; efficiently and safely transports, sorts, and stocks product as required.  Your supervisor may also ask you to perform tasks, once trained to support others in their respective duties.


SHIFT AND SCHEDULE:

Monday – Friday On-Site in Office at Bloomingdale, GA 31302.

Must be able to work overtime and weekends as Business requires.

Must be able to reliably commute to and from the GADC facility and serve the entire assigned shift.


POSITION ROLE:

  • Receiver (Inbound) – The Receiver is responsible for manually unloading floor-loaded containers and palletize them in accordance with the UOM and TIHI requirements. The Receiver will scan the product from the shipping report and scan the LPN for the pallet. The Receiver will request a reconciliation from the Inbound Coordinator once product has been palletized correctly and fully received.
  • Auditor (Inbound) – The Auditor is responsible for validating issues with shipments and records them on the receiving Overage/Shortage Report. The Auditor will check all pallets for UOM accuracy and Cycle count in any extra product at dock door. The Auditor will inform Supervisor of mistakes and ensures measurement accuracy by periodically using the CubiScan. The Auditor will randomly check inbound dock doors for shipment accuracy.
  • Cubi-Scan Operator (Inbound) – The Cubi-Scan Operator will scan new product to be received into the warehouse. The Cubi-Scan Operator will weigh the carton, enter correct UOM by the each pallet and carton quantity therefore validating each item. The Cubi-Scan Operator will scan the LPN and replace the carton on the pallet. The Cubi-Scan Operator will check Korber to ensure that the measurements have been recorded so that the pallet can be received, reconciled, and put away.
  • Picker/Loader (Outbound) – The Picker/Loader is responsible for the picking process by inputting product and location information into the RF Scanners. The Picker/Loader will affix labels to the product in accordance with customer specifications. The Picker/Loader is responsible for shrink wrapping and staging in the appropriate order by Load number with pallet placards attached. The Picker/Loader is responsible for hand loading all trucks that require floor-loading.
  • Auditor (Outbound) – The Auditor is responsible for auditing and ensuring all staging and loading accuracy (UOM, labels, pallet placards) meet each customer requirements. The auditor will ensure that after the loading has occurred, all product has been loaded on the truck. If Blowout (too much product to fit in the trailer) or Shortage occurs, the auditor is responsible for quarantining product left on the dock until a decision to assign new load # or put away has been established.
  • Ecommerce Picker/Packer (Outbound) – The Picker/Packer is responsible for manually picking product from the Ecommerce area and packing the product in the appropriate package/box. The Picker/Packer will need to attach a label to the outside of the package/box and place finished package/box in the appropriate place (as instructed).


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Transport product/materials to designated areas using appropriate tools/vehicles to accomplish task including but not limited to hand dolly, forklift, electric dolly, pallet jack, and/or elevator.
  • Performs quality inspections on incoming and outgoing materials and products.
  • Sorts and places product on racks, shelves, or bins according to predetermined inventory procedures.
  • Picks, packs, and ships materials and products.
  • Uses RF Scanner equipment to receive and pick product.
  • Affixes labels to incoming and outgoing pallets/product.
  • Processes all packages for shipping; processes returned merchandise.
  • Conducts physical inventory counts; replenishes stock from back-up locations as needed.
  • Maintains a safe, clean working environment.
  • Participates in quality improvement efforts.
  • Performs required administrative tasks; prepares all required reports and correspondence.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned by management.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • One to two years related experience or equivalent.
  • Familiarity with warehouse shipping practices and handling methods.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Commitment to excellence and high standards in performance and quality.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills in English.
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, math (counting/addition and subtraction) and analytical skills.
  • Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm.
  • Acute attention to detail.
  • Proficient on RF Scanner and Excel.
  • Proven ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and work well with Teammates.
  • Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions in English.
  • Forklift certified (preferred not required).
  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs.
