Job Purpose
The Warehouse Loader, under the direct supervision of a Night Warehouse Supervisor, the Warehouse Loader will perform a variety of functions including but not limited to loading routes, unloading trailers, selecting orders, pulling freight orders, scanning orders, fixing mistakes, and cleaning.
Key Responsibilities
The Warehouse Loader will be assigned duties, based on organizational needs and priorities.

• Safely operate a forklift to move raw materials or finished products to the warehouse or onto trucks for distribution to customers
• Complete pre-trip inspections on forklift
• Palletize products for distribution to customers
• Work as a team to safely load trucks
• Maintain work area in an organized and clean manner, ensuring a safe work environment
• Interact with operations, warehouse and maintenance team members to maximize output and efficiency
• Use scanning equipment to ensure accurate tracking of inventory within the facility
• Cross train to perform other lift and off lift activities as required
• Provide vacation coverage to team members
• Perform other tasks as needed
• Resolve problems with routes as they arise
• Assist colleagues as needed
• Attend schedule staff meetings
• Perform other tasks and special projects as needed
• Frequently is required to stand; walk, stoop, kneel and crouch throughout shift
• Frequently lift, push or move product that weighs from 1 up to 100 pounds
• Must be able to perform job functions within varied temperatures within the warehouse and freezer
• Frequently reach up to 72 inches to stack and unstack pallets and hand cart
• Ability to work from foot to standing and seated powered equipment for extended periods of time
• Frequently reach above shoulder: Occasionally grasp objects while manipulate objects with frequently twisting

Qualifications and Experience

• High School Diploma or GED
• Prefer two or more years prior forklift experience with a solid safety record, ideally in a fast-paced forklift environment
• Prior exposure to manufacturing desired, preferably the food or beverage industry
• Basic Math and English Reading Skills
• Demonstrate sense of urgency and comfort working in a fast pace forklift environment
• Ability to work independently or with a team with solid communication skills
• Solid problem solving and decision-making skills
• Ability to move/lift 50 lbs. various times over a 12-hour shift
• Willingness to work holidays and weekends as needed
• Willingness and ability to work in a warehouse with minimal temperature control exposed to local temperature
