In-State Flatbed CDL Class A Driver/ Equipment Operator

Rate Confirmed Dispatching invites applications for the role of a In-State Flatbed Driver. This position is crucial for the timely and safe delivery of building materials within Florida. Our drivers are key to upholding our high standards of customer service and safety. We are looking for someone with a valid Class A driver's license, a spotless driving record, forklift and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of safety and professionalism.

Key Responsibilities:

Transport goods within Florida, ensuring adherence to all delivery schedules.

Conduct pre-trip inspections for the safe operation of trucks and trailers.

Load and unload building materials safely onto flatbed trucks, delivering them to commercial locations.

Follow customer directions for safe and efficient material delivery, upholding our safety commitment.

Maintain accurate records in compliance with State and Federal regulations.

Report all incidents involving drivers or company vehicles promptly.

Exhibit excellent communication skills, both verbally and in writing.

Handle heavy building materials, capable of lifting up to 80 lbs.

Additional Skills and Abilities:

Proactive and self-managing with an ability to take initiative.

Strong verbal and written communication skills with colleagues and customers.

Must have Requirements:

Valid commercial driver’s license Class A preferred with minimum 2 years.

Minimum 2 years Flatbed driving experience.

Clean driving record for the past three years.

Able to drive forklift

Knowledge of Department of Transportation regulations.

High School diploma or GED preferred.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to remain seated while driving for extended periods (approximately 40% of time).

Frequent handling of materials weighing up to 80 lbs.

Regular operation of commercial vehicles, including flatbeds trucks.

Proficiency in distance judgment for material delivery.

Consistent exposure to outdoor work environments during deliveries.

Mental Requirements:

Effective prioritization of job sites and deadlines.

Ability to manage stress related to customer deadlines.

Strong multitasking skills.

Efficient in receiving and processing information and instructions.

Quick problem-solving with sound judgment.
