Position Description

As an In-Process Inspector, you will be responsible for working within the framework of a team and performing the following activities:

  • Interpret when parts are non-conforming according to drawings specifications
  • Work with chemicals such as Isopropyl alcohol and plastic products daily
  • Read and understand Engineering drawings such as checking revisions, notes, features (length, diameter-ID/OD, radii, angles, etc.), dimensional tolerances
  • Read and understand shop order operation and router sequence
  • Wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as gowning, masks, gloves, etc. daily
  • Input data into the Quality Management (QM) software
  • Perform daily duties in manufacturing areas
  • Communicate effectively with peers, Production Team Leaders, and/or Engineering to resolve discrepancies and errors
  • Maintain good shop order traceability
  • Meet or exceed production and quality goals
  • Understand and follow Applied Manufacturing’s Quality Systems (QS) and comply with Safety rules and Company policies
  • Ensure adherence to Applied Manufacturing QS including SOP’s, MI’s, QI’s, and TM’s

Position Requirements

This position requires the following skills and attributes:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Knowledge of measurement equipment such as micrometers, calipers, pin gauges, optical comparators and Nikon Vision Systems or equivalent 
  • Ability to lift up-to 25 lbs. often
  • Read, write and speak in English
  • Have good hand eye coordination
  • Must be a team player and have good organizational skills

Benefits

The base compensation range for this role is $16 - $23 / hour for the position in California. Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, certifications, and specific work location. The range displayed reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries in California based on the date of this job posting. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range compensation package during your hiring process. 

 

Please understand that the compensation range may be modified in the future. Each amount of pay is considered to be wages or compensation once such amount is earned and determinable. The amount and availability of any bonus, commission, benefit or any other form of compensation may be modified at the Company’s sole discretion, consistent with the law.
