YOU
As an In-Process Inspector, you will be responsible for inspecting and confirming the conformance to drawings & work orders of materials produced in-house. This position will challenge you to work as a team to set, achieve, and maintain goals including daily inspection times. This position works a Monday - Friday shift - 6:00 am to 2:30 pm.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING (% of Time)
Assure the reliability and consistency of production by checking materials in the manufacturing process including first piece and final output as needed. (85%)
Contribute and participate In Process audits, various improvement projects, and other duties assigned within the plant. (10%)
Report non-conformances using Process Improvement Opportunity (PIO) system and follow through to execution of disposition. (5%)
DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
If you can do everything listed above, you've got what it takes. Perhaps some of the following would be helpful too:

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum one-year experience in a manufacturing position or performing product inspections.
  • Ability to read drawings and other documents to determine requirements.
  • Familiar with working with calipers, micrometers, and other inspection equipment.
  • Ability to work in a Microsoft software environment including Excel, Outlook, and Word.
  • Ability to have attention to detail and ensure the accuracy of information. Ability to identify options for solving a problem.
  • Ability to meet productivity standards, deadlines, and work schedules. Ability to fulfill all commitments made to peers, co-workers, and supervisor. Ability to hold self and others accountable for measurable, high-quality, and timely results. Ability to work independently and efficiently.
  • Ability to work well within a small team environment.
  • Ability to stand on feet for extended periods of time.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

TRAVEL REQUIRED
No travel is required.
WORK STATUS & LOCATION
This full-time, non-exempt position is located in Gallatin, TN.
RELOCATION
Relocation is not available for this position.
PAY
$16.50 - $18.70
