In-House Loan and Student Aid Officer

In this role, you'll work closely with students to identify and financial needs that'll support them along their educational journey.
Position Purpose: The purpose of this position is to develop and tactically implement an impactful and results oriented strategy for the Company's in house loan program and to ensure students successfully fulfill their financial obligations.
Responsibilities:
The team member in this position must exhibit certain characteristics and perform specific duties during their daily or weekly routine. These responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Support and take ownership over all current students participating in the in-house payment program, interfaces with student on collections and questions about monthly payments.
• Coordinate and manage outside organizations for collections as necessary.
• Responsible for collecting payments from current students who participate in the in-house payment plan; collaborates and partners with students regarding maintaining on-time payments.
• Create and implement a proactive plan to reduce in-house loan write offs and allowances for doubtful accounts.
• Restructure payment plans for current students who cannot meet their obligation and find an amenable solution to help the student meet their financial commitments.
• Ensure that students successfully fulfill their financial obligations and funding plan by graduation by resolving outstanding payments and balances, or otherwise have a Company-acceptable payment plan in place.
• Communicate with students regarding their credit balance/living expense checks utilizing high-touch direct communication methods (e.g. Zoom, phone or in-person) in accordance with Company policy.
• Participate in financial annual reviews and audits of student files.
• Handle escalated current student payment challenges as needed.
• Performs all student re-enrollment financial aid packaging, paperwork, and enrollment agreements.
• Partner and support each campus in a student's re-enrollment process and ensure the financial process happens within the re-enrollment process timeline.
• Participates in weekly accountability meetings with Institute Student Success teams and the Student Accounts team.
• Communicate effectively with the Director of Business Operations on a consistent basis.
• Fosters a collaborative and productive relationship with all Institute team members.
• Perform duties as assigned and/or required to meet business needs.
• Abide by all other Nurtur policies and procedures as outlined in the Team Member Handbook and Code of Conduct.
Minimum Requirements: The team member in this position must exhibit certain educational and experiential requirements, including:
• Bachelor's degree; Master's degree preferred.
• Prior work experience in a financial, tax, or lending position interpreting personal financials and tax documents preferred.
• Exhibit self-direction, initiative, resourcefulness, and follow-through with the ability to work at a fast pace and handle multiple tasks and projects at the same time.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
• Demonstrate extreme professionalism and confidentiality in manner, dress, and conduct.
Travel Requirements: The team member in this position must be able to travel locally to events and for out-of-state training as necessary.
