We are at the forefront of our industry, providing cutting-edge services. We are currently seeking a dynamic and versatile In-House Legal Counsel with a construction background. This role is suitable for either a Junior Corporate Lawyer or a high-end Paralegal. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in our legal team, providing strategic insights, managing contracts, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities- Act as a trusted legal advisor to the executive leadership team, providing strategic insights and recommendations.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to align legal strategy with business objectives.
- Review, draft, and negotiate contracts, agreements, and legal documents with meticulous attention to detail.
- Ensure that contractual terms and obligations align with regulatory requirements and company policies.
- Conduct comprehensive reviews of lien releases and other legal documentation, ensuring compliance with applicable laws.
- Develop and implement compliance programs to proactively address potential legal risks.
- Play a key role in resolving legal disputes through negotiation, mediation, and litigation when necessary.
- Work closely with external Legal Counsel to manage and strategize litigation matters.
- Ensure adherence to corporate governance principles and practices.
- Stay abreast of changes in laws and regulations, implementing necessary measures to ensure compliance.
- Oversee, manage, and negotiate all insurance policies, ensuring adequate coverage and compliance with industry standards.
- Safeguard the company's intellectual property rights through registration, monitoring, and enforcement.
- Ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations.
- Collaborate with HR to address employee relations matters from a legal standpoint.
- Develop and oversee data privacy and security compliance programs.
- Work closely with EH&S teams to ensure compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations.
- Participate in due diligence processes for mergers and acquisitions.
- Bachelor's degree in Law, Legal Studies, or a related field.
- For Junior Corporate Lawyer: Juris Doctor (JD) or equivalent degree
- For High-End Paralegal: Paralegal certification and substantial experience in a corporate legal environment
- Strong understanding of corporate law, contracts, construction law, and legal research.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and analytical abilities.
