In-House Legal Counsel (Junior Corporate Lawyer/High-End Paralegal)

This role is suitable for either a Junior Corporate Lawyer or a high-end Paralegal. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in our legal team, providing strategic insights, managing contracts, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

• Act as a trusted legal advisor to the executive leadership team, providing strategic insights and recommendations.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to align legal strategy with business objectives.
• Review, draft, and negotiate contracts, agreements, and legal documents with meticulous attention to detail.
• Ensure that contractual terms and obligations align with regulatory requirements and company policies.
• Conduct comprehensive reviews of lien releases and other legal documentation, ensuring compliance with applicable laws.
• Develop and implement compliance programs to proactively address potential legal risks.
• Play a key role in resolving legal disputes through negotiation, mediation, and litigation when necessary.
• Work closely with external Legal Counsel to manage and strategize litigation matters.
• Ensure adherence to corporate governance principles and practices.
• Stay abreast of changes in laws and regulations, implementing necessary measures to ensure compliance.
• Oversee, manage, and negotiate all insurance policies, ensuring adequate coverage and compliance with industry standards.
• Safeguard the company's intellectual property rights through registration, monitoring, and enforcement.
• Ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations.
• Collaborate with HR to address employee relations matters from a legal standpoint.
• Develop and oversee data privacy and security compliance programs.
• Work closely with EH&S teams to ensure compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations.
• Participate in due diligence processes for mergers and acquisitions.

• Bachelor's degree in Law, Legal Studies, or a related field.
• For Junior Corporate Lawyer: Juris Doctor (JD) or equivalent degree
• For High-End Paralegal: Paralegal certification and substantial experience in a corporate legal environment
• Strong understanding of corporate law, contracts, construction law, and legal research.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and analytical abilities.
