Telvero is seeking In-building DAS Field Technicians to fulfill multi-technology wireless network deployments in multiple Regions. Primary function is Installation of IDAS.
The DAS Field Technician performs various aspects of the cable and antenna installations. Typical job duties include (but are not limited to) conducting site walks, performing site surveys, CW testing, cable sweeps, plotting, drawing up, and designing site maps, and installation of connectors, cabling, antennas, head- end, and remote electronics. Must have the ability to read maps, follow directions, and interpret engineering and construction plans.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Installing DAS wireless equipment using any combination of external and internal antennas, cable, and other appropriate components.
- Terminating wall and ceiling mounted components.
- Completing job related documentation and reports.
- Communicating and coordinating with project leads and/or managers.
- Keeping informed on safety standards and wearing Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
DESIRED REQUIRED SKILLS:
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and other project documentation.
- Experience and skill using a variety of hand tools in a construction environment.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and in a team setting.
- Ability to understand and follow standard operating policies and procedure.
- Ability to perform duties in a professional manner and appearance.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks, changing priorities as necessary.
- Ability to work under time pressure and adapt to changing requirements with a positive attitude.
- Effective oral and written communication skills as required for the position.
- Preferred knowledge of DAS technology, architecture, fiber design and deployment requirements.
- Ability to interact effectively and professionally with all levels of employees, both management and staff alike, vendors, clients, and others.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor's Degree preferred; must have High School Diploma or GED Equivalency.
- Minimum 1-2 years of installation experience in in-building DAS and electrical systems.
- Required to have a valid driver's license.
- Familiarity with a variety of OEM's.
- Preferred experience with RF systems operation.
