This position is based in our Garden City, NY Office and is an in-person role.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Preparing Customs entry documentation in compliance with US Customs regulations.
- Proactively and aggressively resolve custom and transportation issues with a customer-centered focus.
- Collaborating with the team to deliver outstanding service to our customers while leveraging opportunities to grow our business.
- Manage shipments end-to-end, for international ocean, air, and domestic shipments.
- Data entry of client shipment detail and update of shipment milestones
- Address various internal and external customer questions and concerns regarding shipments, billing, status, services, carriers, and other needs.
- Assists with preparing information required for quotes or addressing potential services; may provide more standard to complex quotes.
- Actively communicate with customers to ensure 100% satisfaction. Strong follow up skills.
- File Partner Government Agency (PGA) data sets (FDA, F&W, etc.)
Key Requirements:
- 5+ years relevant customs, Freight Forwarding, logistics, transportation, and domestic distribution experience
- Strong Customer Service skills with ability to interact professionally with vendors, customers agents and colleagues.
- Excellent communication skills
- Proficient with Microsoft
- Ability to work independently.
- Cargo-wise software knowledge is a plus but not required
