Immigration Paralegal

We are seeking a Paralegal to work directly with BC staff and a diverse clientele on a wide range of immigration cases, including cases before the U.S. consulates abroad, the U.S. Immigration Courts and the Board of Immigration Appeals, U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services, Immigration and Customs Enforcement, Customs and Border Protection, and the federal courts. The Paralegal will work under the supervision of the Senior Paralegal and Associate Attorney staff to prepare immigrant and nonimmigrant visa petitions, as well as adjustment of status, consular processing, naturalization, waiver, and asylum applications for attorney review. The Paralegal also will work on declarations, letters of support, and immigration court filings.

Qualifications:

· Demonstrated commitment to immigrant and/or human rights.

· 3 years of experience as an Immigration Paralegal in family based, citizenship, removal cases.

· Strong organizational skills and ability to successfully juggle multiple responsibilities.

· Strong writing skills for declarations, country condition research

· Interest in taking ownership over cases worked on.

· Ability to complete case work efficiently and independently.

· Commitment to providing excellent client service.

· Ability to work independently and in a team setting.

· Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to work harmoniously with diverse groups of people.

· Interest in a fast-paced, energetic work environment.

· Willingness to participate in marketing and communications efforts.

· Ability to speak, read, and write in Spanish.

Salary will be commensurate with experience.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $26.00 - $32.00 per hour
