Title: Paralegal – Emphasis in Intellectual Property (IP)

Pay: From $30.30+ per hour

Job Overview:

Boardman Clark seeks a skilled and dedicated Immigration Law Paralegal to join our team. As an Immigration Law Paralegal, you will play a crucial role in supporting our attorneys and assisting clients with various immigration matters. You will have the opportunity to work on a wide range of cases, including family-based petitions, employment-based visas, deportation defense, and asylum applications.

Key Responsibilities

- Conduct client intake interviews in English and Spanish and gather relevant documents.

- Provide written and verbal Spanish-English translation.

- Assist attorneys in preparing and filing immigration petitions, applications, and appeals.

- Research legal issues and stay updated on changes in Immigration Laws and regulations.

- Maintain accurate records and case management systems.

- Communicate with clients, government agencies, and other relevant parties.

- Provide administrative support to attorneys as needed.

- Remain mindful and responsive to cultural barriers.

Qualifications

- Two or four-year degree and or paralegal certification preferred.

- Minimum 2 years’ experience working in Immigration Law.

- Working knowledge of USCIS and EOIR Courts and Appeals System (ECAS) preferred.

- Proficiency in English and Spanish is essential.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.

- Strong research and writing skills.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work efficiently.
