IMAX® Guest Services Associate

The Tennessee Aquarium is looking for a positive, friendly part-time IMAX Guest Services Associate to provide a high level of customer service by greeting and assisting all guests of the IMAX Theater.
Key Responsibilities
- Politely greet, scan tickets, and direct guests into the theater.
- Communicate professionally and effectively with guests and staff.
- Ensure the safe and even flow of guests through IMAX by assisting in the loading/unloading of the theater and sometimes ushering guests to their seats with flashlights, if necessary
- Help maintain a clean lobby and theater between each show to ensure a positive first impression when guests enter the building.
- Assist guests with special needs, such as helping those with wheelchairs.
- Help during emergency situations ensuring the safety of visitors and staff.
- Monitor critical areas of the IMAX Theater to ensure safety concerns are reported in a timely manner.
- Assist in the distribution, cleaning, and retrieval of 3D glasses.
Qualifications Necessary
- Exceptional customer service.
- Some evening and weekend work required.
- Maintain a friendly and approachable presence at all times, even under pressure.
- Ability to communicate effectively with guests, staff, and management, including two-way radio traffic and email.
- Able to bounce back from challenges and setbacks with a positive outlook and find creative solutions to unexpected situations.
- Maintain a professional, neat appearance, adhering to the Aquarium's uniform policy guidelines.
Part-time, hourly ($14/hour); 20-25 hours/week, some weekend work required.
General operating hours are from 11 A.M. to 6 P.M. but are regularly extended to be as early as 9 A.M. and as late as 11 P.M., depending on the film schedule.
