Job description

The Level II Radiology Technologist is responsible for performing all diagnostic radiology procedures including fluoroscopic, portables, C-arm and limited special procedure examinations, consistent with ALARA and Title 17 recommendations.In addition, performs at least one of the following modalities: Mammography, Ultrasound, CAT Scan or Nuclear Medicine. This position will be primarily working with pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric.

Responsibilities

  • Knowledge of equipment, techniques, positioning and film processing to perform safe and diagnostic radiographs for interpretation.
  • Timely completion of radiology examinations to comply with department and hospital standards specific to patient care, this includes interacting with patients, physicians, staff and visitors while providing patient care obligations.
  • Provide patients and staff, protection in accordance with hospital and state radiation standards
  • provide prompt and accurate notification of equipment failure and/or related problems regarding the efficient operation of the department.

REQUIREMENTS LEVEL II

The Level II position must have the mandatory technical skills or licensure to perform one or more of the following modalities.

Mammography

  • Current CRT and/or ARRT-M. Ultrasound
  • Current CRT and/or ARDMS Eligible.

CAT Scan

  • Current CRT and necessary CAT Scan experience with proven technical skills & knowledge.

Nuclear Medicine

  • Current CRT and/or CNM Nuclear Medicine License. QUALIFICATIONS

GENERAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • High School Graduate or equivalent.

  • Graduate of an accredited school of radiology.

  • Current ARRT.

  • Current CRT and Fluoroscopy license state of California.

  • Current license for Ultrasound, Mammography and Nuclear Medicine, experience and technical skill knowledge is necessary to qualify for the CAT Scan modality.

  • Current CPR
