Imaging Assistant Manager (Internal Only)

OrthoNebraska is adding an experienced Assistant Manager of Imaging to our Team. This role will provide leadership and support to the team while providing technical support for the effective and efficient delivery of imaging services. The imaging team uses state-of-the-art technology will providing health care teams in both the hospital and clinic with the information needed for a fast, accurate diagnosis. Services include X-Ray, Fluoroscopy, CT Scan, MRI and Ultrasound services. This position reports to the Manager of Imaging.

Position Details/Duties:

• Monitor performance of the department staff by data collection, coaching, education, and role modeling at the direction of management to ensure ongoing performance improvement
• Problem solve and make decisions within areas of accountability by using a well-defined approach to ensure effective and efficient patient care
• Demonstrate leadership on the job by continuously updating knowledge in areas or accountability and profession to maintain competence
• Monitor inventory levels of patient care supplies and be responsible for initial approval of supplies
• Oversee multiple modalities, problem solve, work with management, Quality and Safety participation, role model, effective communication with staff and physicians, participate in direct patient care, contrast administration, IVs, documentation/charting, staffing schedules, contribute to efficient and effective operations
  • Provide exceptional customer service in all interactions includes needs assessments, meeting quality standards of service and evaluation of overall patient satisfaction
  • Identify complex problems, review related information, employ creativity and alternative thinking to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions
  • Organize, plan, and prioritize work to complete within required time frames and to follow-up on pending issues
  • Handle multiple tasks simultaneously and thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
  • Effective written and oral communication skills to explain complex issues, exchange information between team members, and tactfully discuss issues
  • Perform group presentations and listen to and understand complex information and ideas.
  • Knowledge of and ability to comply with State and Federal (HIPAA) laws pertaining to confidentiality of protected health information and how it applies to health information technology

 Position Requirements:

Education:

• Graduate from an accredited school / college in the radiography program
• Registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist credentialing organization
• Licensed or eligible for licensure as a Radiography Technologist in the state of Nebraska and Iowa
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required

Experience:

• Minimum of three years’ experience in a position of similar complexity and responsibility required
• Leadership experience in healthcare imaging preferred

Physical:

• This position is classified as Medium Work in the Dictionary of Occupational Titles, requiring the exertion of 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or 10 to 25 pounds of for frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Physical demand requires are more than those for Light Work.
