Peraton is seeking a motivated Entry-level Image Scientist in our St. Louis, MO location to support a classified program.
Our Image Scientists will support product quality studies and evaluations, new product initializations, product algorithm assessments, and develop image quality equations to quantify the expected quality for new and existing geo-spatial intelligence (GEOINT) products to assure quality and data integrity for use.
Successful candidate will work with a team of diverse expertise including systems engineers, image analysts, photogrammetrists, and statisticians to plan and perform specific tests, track issues, and clearly communicate status and results to multiple stakeholders. The systems tested include many data products from remote sensing platforms that collect different images and geospatial information including electrical-optical or visible (E/O), Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR), Overhead Persistent Infrared (OPIR), motion, multi-spectral and hyper-spectral imagery, and lidar.
Our work is to verify and validate product visual quality of the imagery, as well as the accuracy and utility of the support data that go along with it. The qualified candidate should have an interest in learning more about GEOINT systems, products, and development, as well as exploitation software packages used in testing and verification.

Target Salary Range
$51,000 - $82,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.

Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- US Citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI w/ Polygraph clearance.
- BS degree in Image Science, Geospatial Systems, Computer Engineering, Geographic Sciences, Computer Information Systems or related field and 0-2 years of relevant experience.
- May/June 2024 grads are welcome to apply.
- Working understanding and practical application of the components of the image path to include sensor, detector, atmospheric, and material properties for at least one system.
- Experience in simulation and modeling and an ability to develop algorithm descriptions for software development.
- Knowledge of sensor imaging systems, their products, and exploitation processes including the tasking, collection, processing, exploitation and dissemination of imagery or GEOINT is a plus.
- Good written and verbal communication skills and teamwork.
- Ability to work on-site daily in St. Louis, MO.
Desired Qualifications:
- 3.0 and above GPA.
- Active TS/SCI w/ Polygraph clearance.
- Previous hands-on image science internship experience.
