Overview
The role of the Program Manager is to develop, manage and grow all aspects of internally managed hockey, figure skating and recreational programs for the community rink.
This role will pay a salary of $35,000 to $45,000.

Responsibilities
  • Coordinate the development, organization and growth of new recreational, hockey and figure skating programs at the facility
  • Assist Ice Rink Director in planning, organizing and planning year round programming calendar to drive season over season participation
  • Assist Ice Rink Director in developing the facility ice schedule by prioritizing ice time for internal programming
  • Manage all internal programs including registrations, payments, class/team creation, schedule development and curriculum
  • Oversee the organization and instruction of classes, clinics and camps
  • Assist with development of marketing materials for Ice Rink Programs
  • Help manage rink website
  • Resolve and respond to all customer questions, concerns and complaints in a timely manner.
  • Develop relationships with third party groups working within the facility
  • Recruit, hire, train and schedule coaches and staff for internal programs under the direction of the Ice Rink Director
  • Coordinate all staffing responsibilities associated with programs.
  • Work with the official/scorekeeper scheduler to assign scorekeepers and referees.
  • Make pricing and program update recommendations to maximize participation and drive revenues
  • Coordinate all aspects for recreational hockey classes, camps and clinics including coaching assignments, staffing and locker room allocation.
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications
  • Four-year (4) degree in Sports Management, Recreation, Business Management or a related field preferred
  • 3-5 years of on ice experience preferred
  • Current USA Coaching Certification preferred
  • Experience planning and coordinating youth recreational programs
  • Must possess strong problem-solving, interpersonal, conflict resolution and communication skills.
  • Ability to work nights, weekends and holidays.
  • Ability to work long hours on event days.
  • Candidates will have a growth mindset
  • Must be polite, cooperative and work well with others.
  • Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office Programs and Scheduling
