Job Title: Ice Hockey Instructor
AHCI is a leading provider of hockey development programs. We are currently seeking passionate and experienced on-Ice Hockey instructors to join our team in two key areas, lead instructors and instructors. As a Lead on-ice instructor, you will be responsible for running camps, clinics, and full-ice team practices. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in on-ice skill development coaching, with a deep understanding of what skills to teach players at various levels of proficiency. We are also looking for support on-ice instructors who would be responsible for executing skill & drill instructions, ability to teach specific hockey skills and be able to work well independently.
Responsibilities:
- Plan and execute engaging and effective on-ice training sessions tailored to the needs and skill levels of participants.
- Teach fundamental hockey skills including skating, puck handling, shooting, passing, and game tactics.
- Provide constructive feedback and individualized coaching to help players improve their techniques and performance.
- Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages skill development, teamwork, and sportsmanship.
- Communicate effectively with players, parents, and other coaches to ensure a cohesive and supportive experience for all participants.
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a hockey player and/or coach, with a strong emphasis on on-ice skill development.
- In-depth knowledge of hockey fundamentals and strategies, with the ability to effectively teach these concepts to players of all ages and abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire players to reach their full potential.
- Reliable and responsible, with a commitment to punctuality and professionalism.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, to accommodate the needs of our programs.

Preferred:
- Extensive knowledge of the sport of Ice Hockey.
- Demonstrated effective organizational skills and strong attention to detail.
- Demonstrated strong written and oral communication skills and the ability to analyze and interpret policy guidelines.
- Availability to work evenings (3-11pm) and weekends.
Physical Requirements
- · Must be able to lift items weighing 50+ lbs.
- · Must be able to be on your feet for several hours.
Required Training
- · Facility and Safety Orientation & SafeSport Certified.
- · CPR, AED and First Aid Trained.
Job Type: Contract
Pay: $15.00 - $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
