Pay: $13 hourly + tips

For our 2023 Charleston season from March-December, hourly tip average was $10.61. 2024 customer tips may vary.

Schedule: Part time: day shift and evening shift. Some weekends and Holidays required. Hours of operation range from 11am-10pm.

Location: Downtown and Folly Beach locations (alternating as needed)

The Pineapple Hut team members are our part-time, front-line crew members. They serve soft serve, cut A LOT of pineapples, run the register, keep the shop clean, tend to the machines as needed, and perform a number of other important, related tasks.

• Exhibit passion for community, an eye for detail, a willingness to clean, stamina to serve people in long lines, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Familiar with (and be able to articulate to customers) what distinguishes The Pineapple Hut soft serve from other dessert options, and be able to articulate that to the 500th customer with the same care and presence as the 1st customer
• Available to work weekends, nights, some holidays
• Provide consistent, high quality service to every single customer
• Reliable, on time, and ready to hustle for every shift
• Have a team mentality

About The Pineapple Hut:

The Pineapple Hut arose from our long-standing desire to sell Ice Cream at the beach. In 2019, we purchased an old trailer, added some love, and parked on Folly Beach selling vegan soft serve. September 2022, we welcomed our second location in downtown Charleston. Late 2023, we have embarked on the franchising journey and coming 2024 will be our Broadway at the Beach location. We hope to be known for friendliness, hospitality, and delicious, dairy free desserts that all can enjoy.

Mission Statement: To give tourists and locals alike great service and a delicious treat all can enjoy wrapped in friendliness, good energy, and enthusiasm. An ode to Charleston, the pineapple historically symbolizes hospitality. We do all of this while promoting business practices that respect our environment.

Pay: $13.00 - $25.00 per hour
