About Us:
Fomu Ice Cream is a plant-based Ice Cream and confection maker serving the greater Boston area and beyond. We currently have four retail locations and our headquarters in Watertown, MA where we produce all our plant – based confections.
Position Description:
We’re looking for an Ice Cream production team member with previous professional kitchen experience who can work independently and efficiently to complete the daily tasks required to make our Watertown kitchen run smoothly. We’re willing to train the right person—a great attitude and basic understanding of kitchen principles goes a long way.
Responsibilities:
Weighing out and measuring ingredients
Lifting and moving 50lbs+ throughout the day
Packaging product
Providing support where needed (Outgoing/Incoming Deliveries, etc.)
Cleaning, Dish Washing and organizational tasks
Qualifications:
Willingness to be flexible and support team where help is needed
1+ year working in commercial kitchen setting
Ability to accurately execute recipes with attention to detail
Ability to seamlessly and cleanly move through different tasks throughout the day
Ability to lift 50lbs+ often
Ability to stand on your feet for extended periods
Able to work independently or collaboratively depending on the day and task
Must have reliable transportation to get to Watertown
Hours and Compensation: 15-40 hours a week. The ability to cover occasional extra weekend days is required. Compensation is commensurate with experience.
