Fletcher’s Ice Cream is a new restaurant café serving premium Ice Cream, waffles, and coffee. Our mission is to put a smile on the face of every one of our guests -- we want to be the happiest part of people's day -- and to be socially responsible to our community as the first traditional Ice Cream shop in Northeast Minneapolis. POSITION DESCRIPTION:
Fletcher's churns super-premium Ice Cream among the best in the Twin Cities. We're looking for an Ice Cream make that can deliver at that quality level and to be a part of our continuous improvement. Applicants that will excel in this role have knowledge and appreciation for food safety and science, as well as skills in quality assurance, organization, communication, self-reliance.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Complete weekly Ice Cream production according to the exact recipes
• Maintain, add, and update recipes
• Keep an immaculate and organized production kitchen
• Manage inventory
• Operate and maintain state-of-the-art Ice Cream making equipment
• Execute the quality health and food safety process and standard
• Taste test the Ice Cream during production (note: this is an environment that makes products containing milk, peanuts, tree nuts, soy, eggs, and wheat)
• Create and collaborate with the leadership team to create seasonal and signature flavors

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION REQUIRED:- High School Diploma.

YEARS OF EXPERIENCE:- 1+ Years with High School Diploma. Experience is not necessary. We are willing to train the right person with the right attitude and work aptitude.

SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED:- Understanding of how to use espresso equipment- Consistent production espresso drinks

• Knowledge of health, safety, and hygiene in the retail food production environment
• Preferably at least one year experience with food preparation or kitchen work, but we will train the right person

PHYSICAL JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
• Stand for up to 8 hours with a break with repetitive motions, bending, and squatting.
