Job Description
AECOM is actively seeking a highly motivated I&C Engineer to join our Water Group in our Chelmsford, Ma office. This position will involve a variety of new and upgrades to existing water treatment facilities, water booster pump stations, and wastewater pumping and treatment facilities.
The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
Support the Mechanical Process Engineer with the development of process flow diagrams (PFD).
Use the PFDs to develop detailed process & instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs).
Design control system architecture using a variety of technologies including ethernet, fiber optic networks, radio, and VPN.
Develop datasheets for process instrumentation and PLC/network control systems hardware.
Prepare detailed control narrative for full plant operation.
Develop detailed drawings to convey the design.
Support the development of technical specifications.
Verify compliance with applicable US codes and engineering standards/practices.
Coordinate with other in-house engineering disciplines as needed.
Work flexible hours to attend project meetings/calls with the Chelmsford Design Center.
Be detail-oriented and technical yet experienced enough to see the big picture.
Pay close attention to detail and accuracy of work.
Schedule and meet budget expectations.
Multi-task and be flexible, along with ability to adapt to project deadlines.
Have passion and enthusiasm for design in a collaborative and progressive team-oriented work environment.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree Electrical, Mechanical or Chemical Engineering preferred or equivalent work experience.
Four years of work experience as an I&C Engineer.
Experience with different PLC/network control system platforms.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in the water/wastewater industry.
Experience with US codes and standards.
Experience with AutoCAD, BIM360, etc.
Experience with Smart P&ID.

Offered rate of compensation (MA locations only) will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. The salary range for this position is $87,778.70-$125,084.64.
