Summary
The IBM Power System Solutions Architect (SA) should be creative, resourceful, and polished professional with an extensive knowledge of IBM Power Servers, PowerVM and PowerVC, other Server Platforms, virtualization products and Cloud Solutions. He will be mainly interacting with Customers and Account Executives to review potential solutions to Client customer requirements. Prepare Solution along with other solution groups, present to the customer and convert them in business. SA should be an expert in multivendor solutions and help to drive revenue growth with existing/new customers.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Work as a Technical Solution Specialist for Sales and Solutions Engineering team
- Identify, qualify, design, develop and present solutions based upon customer's business requirements.
- Perform technical and business requirement discovery and build Statement of Work.
- Develop key relationships with clients at an executive level to advance the sale or to further develop the revenue stream associated with the account. Leverage those relationships to expand business through a consultative selling approach.
- Collaborate with service delivery leaders and product management to share knowledge of market research and findings & develop service offerings.
- Analyse needs of the Sales team and create supporting documentation or tools to better equip the team in the sales process.
- Collaborate on the development of organizational Data Centre, Cloud and Hybrid IT practices with following practices –
- ERP & other Business Applications
- SAP HANA
- BI/Data Analytics
- IoT / Engineering
- Ready to travel to customer sites as needed.
Qualifications & Requirements
- 6+ years of relevant consulting experience in customer facing positions
- In-depth knowledge and experience of IBM Power 8 and older version servers
- In-depth knowledge of IBM PowerVM, PowerVC, LPM, PowerHA based solutions
- Proficiency in Server CPU/Memory/IO Sizing based on customer given performance parameters.
- Able to understand the customer need and convert them in Optimized Solution which may include DC Transformation, Consolidation, Virtualization and Cloud using IBM Power Servers
- Proficiency with solutions design, configuration, and implementation
- Should be able to design solution based on TCO/SLA/KPI based parameters
- Experience with evaluation of IT consumption models required
- Professional Certifications from the following are desired:
- IBM Power Sales Specialist
- Excellent communications and interpersonal skills. Must possess ability to convey information to a variety of audiences, one to one and in group scenarios
