Responsibilities:
- Understanding requirements from a business perspective to be validated through testing and assessing them in the context of an Agile/Scrum delivery model.
- Understanding of the SDLC activities expected to deliver custom developed and packaged applications.
- Well experienced in Software Quality Principles, Advanced Test Methodologies, Best Practices and Procedures.
- Understanding conventional and cloud testing strategies.
- IBM mainframes Testing, Systems Integration tester experience; back-end testing; database validation skills; web service testing experience.
- Proactively keeping up with the latest trends in testing.
- Experience working with business users coordinating, facilitating UAT.
- 5+ years of Overall experience with 3+ years of working on IBM Mainframes as Quality analyst.
- Expert in: COBOL, JCL, CICS, DataCom, Endevor, Intertest, Abend-Aid, FileMaster.
- Strong QA foundation and ability to perform Integration testing, back-end testing, database validation skills, End to End and Regression testing.
- Test Management, Defect management, Test Data management.
- Advanced knowledge of test engineering practices within an Agile SDLC methodology.
- Familiarity with: Microsoft Office (WORD, EXCEL, POWERPOINT).
- Exposure on Jira, Confluence.
- Exposure on any Test Management Tool say qTest/TestRail/xRay/Azure Devops.
- Automation Tools & Framework experience ( Good to Have).
- Collaborate with the Scrum Team to come up with QA Strategy and implement the same.
- Recommend improvements into overall best practices, design, testability, quality, and test Reports.
