IBM AIX and Linux Engineer
What does a successful AIX Engineer do at Fiserv?

• Apply patches to Power 8 and Power 9 systems.
• Resolving any security vulnerabilities
• Supporting users of the AIX platform
• Maintaining Cloud based Red Hat systems
• Working within a team design and implement a method to move on-prem systems to the cloud

What you will need to have:

• Bachelor's degree preferred
• Skilled in preparation of PCI DSS application technology audit documents and application/networking diagrams.
• 6+ years of AIX experience.
• Proficient in system administration tasks, such as user management, file system management, and performance tuning on AIX systems
• Familiarity with IBM Power Systems hardware and components, including LPAR (Logical Partitioning) setup and management
• Knowledge of AIX security best practices, including user authentication, access control, and auditing
• Proficiency in AIX backup and recovery solutions, such as IBM Tivoli Storage Manager (TSM) or other backup tools
• Familiarity with AIX virtualization technologies, including Virtual I/O Servers (VIOS) and Virtual Ethernet adapters
• Good communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with other IT professionals, vendors, and end-users
• Knowledge and certifications in Azure or Skytap a plus
• Familiarity with integrating AIX systems with cloud platforms or hybrid cloud environments
• Ability to assess system resource usage and plan for future capacity needs
• Familiarity with automation tools and practices (e.g., Ansible) to streamline AIX administration tasks.

• Understanding of Samba
• Red Hat Administration
• Good communication skills
• Familiar with IBM Flash storage and Cisco and Brocade switches
• Strong expertise in IBM AIX operating system administration, including installation, configuration, and troubleshooting
