What you will do!
The Identity and Access Management (IAM) Technician provides support to internal customers of the Office of Information Services (OIS). This Tier 2 position is business-focused and typically concentrates on receiving and processing ODHS/OHA requests via online Individual Access Request (IAR 786) submissions. These employees are called upon to receive, prioritize, process and interpret requests from the agencies served, providing access as requested to numerous network resources. Services include but are not limited to onboarding new employees and partners, updating Access for existing employees, and offboarding. IAM Technicians must be able to interpret requests from a wide variety of end users and need to be able to communicate clearly and professionally via email, phone or instant messaging as needed in order to clarify request requirements and assist customers. Individuals in this position must have both strong technical and customer service skills and must be able to answer complex technical questions to users with a wide variety of technical backgrounds and varying expertise. When necessary, IAM technicians will create tickets for other technical support teams inside and outside of OIS to assist with requested needs. These positions operate within defined KPI metrics and are expected to maintain a threshold of ticket performance that is set and reviewed by management and supervisory roles.

What we are looking for:
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
(a) Three (3) years of Information Systems experience in:
Information Technology Systems

OR
(b) An Associate's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, OR completion of a two (2) year accredited vocational training program in information technology or related field;
AND
one (1) year of Information Systems experience in:
Information Technology Systems

Working Conditions
Position may require periodic travel throughout the state.
High volume of telephone, email, and other types of contact with customers who have various and unpredictable IAM support requests. Potential daily exposure to angry or frustrated customers. Some evening and weekend work is normal for this position. This position may utilize mandatory OT requirements to meet critical business needs during escalating moments of backlog.
There can be frequent interruptions, demanding timeframes, and non-traditional working hours. The location of this position is in an office, cubicle and/or an agreed upon remote work environment with significant use of a computer and video conferencing.
Desired Attributes:
An effective IAM Provisioner must have considerable background and experience in all areas of information technology, especially security and access controls. In order to respond to the large volume and wide range of requests, they must have a good working knowledge of the agencies, programs, locations of offices and staff to assist the customers within and affiliated with the Department of Human Services and Oregon Health Authority. They must have the ability to work under pressure and retain a professional and tactful manner in all interactions with customers.
This position work collaboratively in a team setting. Good team player skills are necessary, including the willingness to collaborate, share information, and contribute to the team's success as necessary. The position also requires excellent customer service skills for both internal and external customers, and the ability to demonstrate initiative and independent judgement on an ongoing basis. Must be able to contribute to a positive, respectful and productive work environment
