Mobile Health Team Inc., a staffing agency has an opening for a Registered Nurse (RN). We are looking for someone with a passion for people.

Assignment Start Date: 1/29/2024
13 weeks | Nights | 12-hour shift | 36 hours guaranteed weekly

Please contact a recruiter for full details.Under limited supervision, plans, directs and evaluates total nursing care and functions in one unit on a particular shift, including functioning in the Charge Nurse role. Responsible for orientation, training, and management of personnel. Relates effectively with other shifts for continuity of care; maintains satisfactory relations with other departments; participates in all phases of education, maintenance of records, and upgrading of policies, procedures, and skills.

Ability to maintain confidentiality; and both a high standard of courtesy and cooperation in dealing with co-workers, patients, and visitors, and satisfactory job performance despite the stress of a hospital work environment.

Wears appropriate apparel for the position and displays nametags upon such apparel.
Regular and predictable attendance at work.
Provides the best possible nursing care by planning, organizing, and directing the nursing functions of patients on the unit, including giving direct patient care.
Utilizes gathered data in determining priorities for patients' physical, psychological, educational, and discharge needs in formulating the plan of care.
Makes nursing assignments appropriate to the skill level of employees.
Functions in Charge Nurse role when assigned.
Identifies problems and guides personnel to their solution.
Creates a working climate that provides growth and job satisfaction of coworkers.
Administers medications and intravenous solutions skillfully and correctly.
Maintains the standards of accurate and complete recording and reporting.
Arranges to have needed supplies and equipment on hand.
Participates in planning changes and improvements.
Supervises LPN and nursing assistant personnel.
Carries out nursing interventions safely and accurately utilizing knowledge, judgment, and skill to implement physician's orders and the nursing plan of care.
Evaluate patient/family responses to the implementation of the plan of care and modify the plan of care based on these responses.
Prioritizes workload.
Performs documentation in the nursing unit and the patient's record accurately, concisely, and promptly.
Demonstrates effective communication skills.
Supports and enforces infection control policies and procedures.
Is resourceful and calm in emergencies.
Keep house supervisor informed of patient needs and problems in the nursing unit.
Participates in orientation and in-service training for personnel.
Evaluates the performance of personnel with recommendations for appropriate action.
Assists in reviewing and revising policies and procedures.
Maintains professional patient confidentiality.
Displays concern and initiative.
Observes and supports hospital policies.
Is prompt and efficient with minimal absences.
Cooperates and maintains good rapport with nursing staff, medical staff, other departments, patients, and visitors.
Volunteers for on-call shift coverage. If shifts cannot be covered voluntarily, will be assigned to cover on-call.
Works independently with limited direct supervision using the Nurse Practice Act, LCHC policies, nursing standards, and professional judgment.
Works rotating shifts, weekends, and holidays as scheduled.
Effectively assumes job responsibilities of ancillary support during absences.
Attend meetings and in-services as required.
Other duties as assigned.
EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION/QUALIFICATION
Experience:
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English well is required
Licenses, Certifications, and Registration:
- Current Iowa licensure as a Registered Nurse
- Healthcare Provider BLS
- Mandatory Abuse Reporter Certification within 6 months of employment
- ACLS within 12 months of employment
- PALS within 12 months of employment
EMR System: EPIC knowledge/experience preferred
Shift: Night shift 6 pm-630pm 3 days per week
